Meet Izzie!
Izzie was abandoned on a country road in West Tennessee. A kind family found her and took her home. She was covered with fleas and ticks. Over the next month this family fed Izzie and worked at removing all the fleas and ticks she had.
After they were successful in removing the fleas and ticks they called Saving Companions Rescue for assistance in finding her a permanent home. Izzie moved in with a foster family and received all her necessary vaccinations and was spayed. Once this was complete she was placed up for adoption.
Soon the Stacy family of Conneticut came across her on Adopt-a-Pet. They contacted SCR to inquire if she was still available. The Stacy family already had 3 dogs but felt another family member was needed. After filling out an application they were approved for adoption. Transportation was arranged and off to Conneticut Izzie went. Her foster family was sad to see her go, but was happy that she was going to a great home.
Over the last year the Stacy family has shared many pictures of Izzie (you will see several of those throughout our site) and she looks wonderful. They love her so much and she has fit into their home nicely.
